The Governing Council has authorized the call for subsidies to support the regeneration of public lands, with a budget of 2 million euros.
Grants financed jointly by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), public entities holding holdings or communal forests may be eligible for these grants.
According to the call notice, eligible activities will be considered as those related to the natural regeneration of land under protection by natural regeneration and works to improve its viability, as well as the densification of land with the increase in the number of trees with existing or compatible species and their protection against cattle attack.
Also included are afforestation prunings aimed at adapting existing trees to silvopastoral use and actions aimed at the installation, repair and maintenance of infrastructures to ensure the viability of agroforestry systems.
The maximum eligible amount is set at € 40,000.
